Tong Tong Fair 2012

A visit to the Tong Tong Fair

( formely known as Pasar Malam Besar)

made my day yesterday afternoon.

It was a bright sunny day and I longed

for some colour and exoticism.

The fair , held in The Hague, is the largest festival

in the world for European-Indonesian culture.

The festival hosts food courts,

many large to medium stages

for performance Music and Dance,

market areas,

as well as specific fair areas

for Merchandise and Culture.

Food and Drink

I was so lucky that I had plenty of time

to enjoy a performance

of a typical music form called IndoRock,

Tjendol Sunrise

wich combines flamboyant showmanship

and musical virtuoso,

based on the American Rock and Roll idiom .

No need to say I was thrilled to bits

A delicious meal completed this sunny day .....
